Yesterday, my father came home a little bit later than usual, and surprised me with this mixer. I had a terrible migraine all day, but I couldn't help but jump around in excitement.

It's my very first stand mixer!

All this time, we've been making our cookies and other goodies by hand, and sometimes with the help of a little hand mixer. Our kitchen isn't in the greatest state, so I bake somewhere else, but that's a story for another time.

I'm not a very affectionate person, friend, or daughter, and I'm not the best at telling people (and myself) how I feel. I have one too many things to both apologize and thank my father for, but today, I'll keep it simple and say thank you for this stand mixer.

Pa, I promise to work hard.

A lot of times, it may feel like we're not doing enough. Everyone else just seem to be out there doing such amazing things, and we can't help but feel like we're being left behind, or that we're running out of time.

Just in case that's how you feel, don't worry too much :)) It's definitely easier said than done, but let's try our best to remind ourselves that we all have our own paces. You're at the perfect pace for you. So let's just keep working hard, doing and giving our best :))

To you who may be having a hard time, it's okay. Don't worry too much. If it gets too tiring, it's okay to pause and rest.
