Deistory #2: Thankfulness —

"How can I say thanks, for the things You have done for me?" 🎵 - Israel Houghton

Writing this just 53mins after Thanksgiving Day 2022. 🦃🙏🏼😊

This holiday isn't one I grew up celebrating. But this is my 8th time being in a place where everyone celebrates it. 🇺🇸

Every year looked different but one thing for sure is eating lots of good food! Haaa! It seems like this day was made for feeling stuffed to the point of having a food coma! Craaaazyyy!

[The ribs my dad cooked are my fave this year 🍖😋]

But other than that, it is celebrating and being with the people you love and thankful to be a part of your life. <3

I had a moment to walk around a park early in the day. Got to bask the beauty of the nice weather and be in nature. (Photo below) I think this should be a thing every thanksgiving, to take sometime to walk in outside and reflect on what I'm thankful for.

I know that there are soooo many things on the thank you list.

I would like to share what I answered to a question that was asked on us during the friendsgiving I attended 3 days ago: "What are you grateful for that you didn't expect to be grateful towards to?"

My answer was ... the desire to understand myself, wanting to give value to my experiences, thoughts and feelings. That everything in me is worth of my attention, it's me! Haha. It sparks growth, healing and understanding myself. This nit just affects my relationship to myself but also my relationship with other people. I appreciate this curiosity and wanting to know myself more. Myself that's wonderfully and fearfully made by God.

How about you?
Take some time to think about what you're grateful for that you didn't expect to be grateful of. I hope that answering the question makes you smile. 😊

About

Dei here! 👋🏼

Hi! Welcome to Deistories!

I'm a person that loves sharing stories especially experiences I've had that are awe-inspiring. They're mainly my travel, food and photography experiences.

Journaling / writing are not my strength but I would like to develop the skill to be able to keep details of my stories that can't be stored in a photo - the story behind it.

And this is what I intend this space to be for me. 🥰

I hope that when you visit, you get even a bit of inspiration or learn something from my experiences.

Happy reading, dear reader! 😉
