You can call me Deni for short. I am an immigration defense social worker at the Bronx Defenders. This is my area of focus due to the fact that my father was impacted by the CJS and honestly it gave me an epiphany that my work needs to be with those who identify as immigrants and are being affected by immigration/criminal proceedings. I love to work in spaces where social workers, attorneys and advocates collaborate to support individuals and families. Feel free to hmu for immigration resources 🤍

I’m also an individual going through my own shit. I can’t do the work if I’m not taking care of myself… that would be unethical. So I implement holistic approaches into my healing journey. I love cooking, and omg baking!! Baking is so fun I’m always ready to learn new recipes. I’m an active jogger. I have lots of hobbies that help me balance my work life.
