Diversity and Inclusion in Global Security

Welcome to DIGS! We appreciate you taking the time to check out our page.

As a group, Diversity and Inclusion in Global Security at James Madison University is dedicated to providing support, guidance and opportunities for marginalized individuals to succeed in intelligence-related fields, however that may manifest in their lives.

We are a non-major specific group, but are primarily geared towards emphasizing representation of all identities in a holistically inclusive manner as they relate to professions within security fields.

Activism and Awareness

Support us in calling our respective communities forward in solidarity

A large part of DIGS at JMU’s cause is to call awareness to the various implications social structures have on the lives of individuals and groups in this nation today. In the name of global security and intelligence work, we aim to divert attention towards the impending and existing problems faced by groups that are underrepresented and allocate resources towards solutions.
