I love rummaging through the chaos of the internet for videos, music and media that represent positive images and ideas of blackness. During one of my digital digging sessions I came upon the work of a director by the name of Jenn Nkiru. One of her videos “the black ecstatic cannot be contained” and her other video “black to techno” inspired me to compile interesting visual essays that explore the expansiveness of the
black experience around the world. And how life affirming these visuals can be for people of all stripes.
