About
Dr. Santana was raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico and speaks Spanish and English fluently. During high school she developed a love for science and wanted to be able to help people, so she decided to do undergraduate work in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico-Cayey. While working on her degree, she suffered a painful back injury going about her daily routine. She went to her doctor who gave her muscle relaxers and gave her advice and sent her on her way. The pills made daily activities more tolerable, but her condition was not getting any better, and she was tired of taking pills that affected her attention and focus. She sought out chiropractic treatment out of curiosity. After about two weeks she began to notice improvement and soon fully recovered. She was fascinated how the treatment actually focused on the injury and strengthening the body, not just dulling the symptoms. At this point she decided she wanted to become a chiropractor and help people that standard medical treatment fails. She moved to Marietta, GA and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University.
