Welcome
“Branding is the process of connecting good strategy with good creativity.”
I have learned life and circumstance can change a trajectory. My first career choice was to major in criminal justice, learning how to be a profiler. I couldn’t have known then how learning to extrapolate information based on traits and tendencies would eventually serve me well in my current career as a branding consultant and multi-media specialist.
My interest in art and computer graphics started before ‘graphic design’ became the accepted career it is today. At first, I used my creativity to help friends with their start-up businesses. But when I realized that being creative was something I enjoyed doing and I could get paid for it, my career trajectory tilted, and I pursued a Digital Media Arts degree.
I initially learned my craft from ‘old-school’ professionals when cut and paste was a physical, not digital, activity. The tools of the trade consisted of rubber cement and Exacto knives. News of my skills and creativity spread through word of mouth. My assignments often include helping small business owners, a philosophy born from helping my parents, and campaigns for politicians, where I am careful to maintain neutrality to work on both sides of the aisle.
During a decade in the graphic design industry, I’ve honed my graphic and branding skills and added photography and videography. My portfolio consists of work for corporate brands, non-profits, celebrities, and politicians. My ability to form lasting relationships with my clients comes from providing outstanding customer service, which results in many referrals.
I am known for my attention to detail and intense background research, allowing me to craft tactical branding strategies for my clients. I am also known for my honesty. My willingness to bluntly tell my clients like it is “Don’t do that; it will hurt your brand,” makes my clients loyal fans.
I have lived with a physical disability from an early age, but it doesn’t define me. I enjoy giving back to my community, and it goes hand-in-glove with my professionalism. My strong work ethic and never give up attitude are traits I learned from my mom and dad when I helped them with the family business. I always give 100%, and at events where I volunteer my time, I am often the first to arrive and last to leave. When my mind ‘clicks’ and I’m in the creative zone, I forget about the discomfort of my disability.
As a multimedia developer/consultant, I love to share my skills with non-profit organizations.
I know they badly need someone with my skills on their team, but they often don’t have the payroll to support the need. I am a Board Member of the Vietnamese National Association of Real Estate Professionals (VNARP). I particularly seek opportunities to help charities or organizations that serve people with disabilities or special needs.
To unwind, I love to unleash my creative side in the kitchen, exploring how to make new dishes and joining friends for dining adventures. My music taste is eclectic embracing classical to heavy metal.
I meditate regularly and enjoy the
occasional cigar and good whiskey. My friends come from all walks of life, and if we are not friends, it’s because I haven’t met you yet.
