About

I identify as disabled, neurodivergent, and Mad. I’m newer to the Mad Movement and disability communities and I’m DEFINITELY not an expert. For a long time, I didn’t feel comfortable claiming the label disabled, and didn’t want to push in or intrude.

The more I’ve read about the Radical model of disability, and the more I’ve interrogated my own ableism (internalized and other) the more I’ve come to feel it’s important for me to label my identity this way, as someone with chronic autonomic disorders and as someone who lives with chronic mental illness.

A note on accessibility: I’m currently working on going back through my Instagram to add Image Descriptors and alt text. I’m sorry to anyone who has interacted with my feed and hit this basic accessibility barrier.
