UniSlam was one of the greatest experiences of my poetry journey and it was an honour to be part of Team University of Worcester.

I had to prepare three solo poems for the competition and perform as part of the Worcester group poem.

The group poem was a huge success on the stage. By using movement, tone and timing, we collectively delivered a message about the fear we feel like women on a night out.

I was lucky enough to perform one of my solo poems. It was a nerve-wracking experience but certainly one I want to repeat! I decided to perform sat down (see photo) despite the convention being to stand. My poem was personal, so I wanted my performance to reflect this.

My blog is open and I will be writing all kinds of content - from exciting poetry events to general book reviews! It will be a place where you can get a taste of my writing.
