Talking all things Skincare and Crohns Disease

✨ I have found many tips and tricks over the last 13 years in relation to skin issues, and have set up an Instagram page with the aim of helping other people too. Not just people with Crohn’s disease, but also people struggling with their Skincare - and those who just enjoy Skincare too. ✨

✨ I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2007. I had an emergency operation to remove a perforated bowel and have an illeostomy. I struggled to find the right meds and continued to have serious flare ups post surgery which led to more hospital stays & complications. I found remission via prednisolone, Humira injections, and Aziathioprine, but still experience flare ups occasionally, some more serious than others. ✨

✨ Having Crohn’s disease has felt really tough at times. It is often the other parts of having Crohn’s that can be the hardest. Things like skin rashes, weight gain, panics about being out of the house etc. But it is important to remember there will be good days, and focus on caring for yourself and your wellbeing. ✨
