Hi! I'm Melissa, the face and heart behind Emry Birth Services. I began my career as a birth and postpartum doula in 2017. I've trained with DONA, Doula Trainings International, and Newborn Care Academy. It's been my lived experience with my amazing clients that's helped me to learn, grow and become more skilled at the support I provide. What I do is an absolute privilege and dream!

When I'm not supporting new families, you can probably find me at home with my own. I'm married to the most incredible husband and we have three sweet, rambunctious children with a fourth on the way!

Birth Doula Support - $1800
Birth doulas provide emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. I help my clients understand and navigate the birthing process, advocate for their preferences, provide continuous support, utilize comfort measures and techniques, and assist with communication with medical staff. My goal is to equip you with confidence and empower you to have the birth you want.

Postpartum Doula Nighttime Support - $40/hr
Postpartum doula services offer practical and emotional support to new parents during the postpartum period. My services include assisting with newborn care, breastfeeding support, light household chores, light meal preparation, and provide guidance on infant soothing techniques. My goal is to promote a smooth transition to parenthood by helping parents adjust to their new roles and providing reassurance and encouragement during this transitional time.

Birth Planning Consultation - $200
Whether you're planning to give birth at home or in a hospital, it's great to prepare with a birth plan. Having an in depth birth plan is an excellent way to communicate to your birth team and providers what your desires are for labor, delivery and the immediate postpartum period for you and your baby.
If you aren't sure where to begin, I'll help you discover what your ideal birth looks like and provide helpful insight into the many decisions you'll be faced with surrounding your birth.

Breastfeeding Consultation - $200
As a postpartum doula and breastfeeding mom myself, I've found that the key to a successful long-term breastfeeding relationship is early education. Learning as much as you can before your baby is born can help mitigate the unknowns and prepare you for the common challenges that may arise.
Are you in the thick of it right now? Oversupply or low milk supply? Clogged duct? Baby fussy at the breast? No problem! Schedule a consultation today for an assessment and let's see if we can figure out a solution.

Postpartum Text Support - $400
Early postpartum can feel extremely isolating without the right support. That's why I offer unlimited text support from birth through 6 weeks to answer any questions you have regarding postpartum healing, newborn care, breastfeeding or formula feeding, or just being able to provide a listening ear. Think of me as your on-demand postpartum concierge!
