Hi and welcome to EmyLu Designs!
We are a husband as wife that loves working on DIY projects together.

I’m Emily, a homeschool mom of 3 with a background in home decor and styling. My husband is Lucas, a jack of all trades and all around handy dude!

10 years ago we built a modest 4 bedroom two bath home with zero upgrades and the intention of turning our “builder grade” home into “our home” one DIY project at a time.

We have come along way in 10 years but still have many projects to do and loads of knowledge to share along the way!

Bringing Sexy Back with a Bold New Feature Wall!

We decided to spice things up in the bedroom with this Geometric design, painted black and light up with wall lamps from World Market.

We did it all using Budget friendly materials too! We used 8x4 plywood sheets to cover the splatter drag textured wall and 2” MDF boards to make the design.

The cost of the sheets was about $12 each (we used 3) and the MDF board were $3 each (approximately 40)

The paint we chose was Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams - one gallon of their Cashmere Matte paint was about $60 with a coupon.

We found the Brass Starburst Two Light Logan Wall Lamps for $59.99 - but we able to use World Markets %10 off curbside coupon at pick up!
