Still Struggling with English?
Build your English Confidence!
A lot of research has been done on language learning and language acquisition over the years. There is still no proof regarding the BEST ways of learning a language successfully.
The term ‘language learning’ is most often used for the formal study of language forms, as we would do in a classroom context.
The term ‘language acquisition’ is used for language that is ’picked up’ in a variety of ways.
Lots of communication, both inside and outside the classroom will improve language acquisition, e.g. talking to an English speaker in the restaurant, asking for help/assistance, watching English-speaking films and news.
The person who is open to both acquisition and language learning will achieve greater fluency than a learner who is only open to classroom learning.
