Curling tips for permed hair

Caring for curls can be a game-changer if you want bouncy, defined, and frizz-free hair. Here's a simple but effective guide to keeping your curls happy:

Recommendation #1 :Hydration is key

Ensuring bouncy curls during blowdry starts from using a suitable shampoo! Go for moisture shampoo/ repair shampoos for curls! If you workout often, start off with a deep cleansing shampoo for the scalp (just scrubbing clean the scalp) and then do a second wash with a moisture shampoo to hydrate the curls! This way, you’ll have a clean scalp and hydrated hair! Dont forget the conditioner too!

Recommendation #2 : Style or not to style?

Depending on the curls you want, you can do with or without curl creams. Use a wide teeth comb to first detangle the curls, dont worry about the curls loosening because it wouldnt. The whole idea of a curl cream is to make the curls tighter, therefore if you’re looking for loose curls, maybe skip the curl cream but do not skip the heat protecting serum/oils as this protects the integrity of the hair from heat to ensure healthy looking curls.

Recommendation #3 : Drying technique.

The number 1 qs we alwasy get is whether to blow it inwards or outwards. once again, it depends on the style you want and more importantly what feels comfortable for your fingers to work on. Very important tip for bouncy curls is to use low wind, high heat because high wind will cause the curls to loosen, and may even cause if to straighten if coupled with high heat.
