Fanta keita
Get to know me!
My name is Fanta Nana Keita, and I was born in Guinea but raised in Mexico and the United States. My mother is half Liberian and half Manika, and my father is Fulani. Both parents speak different languages, but I speak six languages.
I was raised in two different families, which included my biological parents and my mother’s elder sister. I am the firstborn with one step-brother and three step-sisters. My dad is in the military, and my mother is an entrepreneur, although both parents are back home working hard to provide shelter and feed the family. Nonetheless, they also depend on me to make them proud.
I came here to create a better life for myself and my parents. In particular, I come from a place where we lack water, light, food, jobs, and education, while nothing has changed. We also have children loitering in the market selling goods to generate money for their families, although they should be schooling. Moreover, females lack feminine hygiene products, and this saddens me. Back home, I saw so many young ladies becoming pregnant and sick.
Despite these experiences, my goal is to become successful and help my country in multiple ways. In particular, I want to help women acquire essential sanitary products. I also want to empower children to become successful in their lives. Thirdly, as I pursue a health or nursing career, I plan to build a health clinic center where ladies can get all the right feminine products so that we can all be healthy.
Besides my career passion, I am an outgoing person. I also love traveling, exploring other cultures, and spending quality time with family members. My hobby is swimming, hiking, and skating. In addition, I love Italian food and seafood. However, I sometimes appreciate my company more than mingling with people.
