Reflection and Judgement

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Sitting at the airport I’m reflecting on this weekend. I have two thoughts I was yes to expand on a bit.
So I was at convention this weekend in Florida. I learned so many amazing things and got to chill with so many amazing people.
The atmosphere was incredible. The feeling of being at home with a company is incredible. Not just any company, one that is God lead. Where God is the center. That’s a indescribable feeling.
I sit back and I reflect on a few things. You see I’m human also. So sometimes I wrongfully judge a book by it’s cover. You know people talk to you about others and at times you subconsciously make a mental decisions on how you feel or will feel about someone else. This isn’t just bad chatter. Sometimes people chat up others also and they don’t exactly match up to that either. The same concept as talking crud about someone to others and the others who never met that person believe it or feel the same suddenly. I met people that I may not have thought would be “up my ally”, and I met people I knew would! And I met people that I thought for sure my #1 so to speak who fell short of that. You can NOT make decisions on people without knowing them for yourself first. No one else’s expensive or relationship with others can determine how yours will go. Don’t judge a book by its cover.
I met so many people this weekend. I was completely blown away by the amount of people who “knew me” and my journey. I was so honored, touched, blessed and humbled to have so many people say kind words to me!! It was amazing to see that somewhere in my journey I was inspiring someone.
You only get things out of conventions that you choose to get out of it.
I got amazing people as friends, up-lines, down lines, sidelines, cross lines and all! I sat back after hearing some things I knew about and didn’t necessarily feel I “needed training on”. Initially I felt I didn’t get what was intended out of specific topics. After reflection, I did. Even though I though I didn’t need that, and knew that… I learned that with the ever changing world my education needed to be ever changing also. I did need that training. I did need that refresher. I did learn something about things I though I already knew!!
Be open. Reflect. Don’t judge a book by its cover. If you limit yourself, you will minimize what you get out of things.
