hey there

I’m Fatima, right now I work as a digital content producer that spends more time i’d like to admit browsing through fonts in my free time.

I grew up in Connecticut but was born in Casablanca - ironically I’ve never seen the film. I have a slight sneaker obsession, love cars from the 80s/90s & aspire to visit each national park by the end of next year.

I went to school for Film, there I developed a newfound love for graphic design and integrated it with my production skills. Right now I work for a boutique in Niantic CT called Grace, a lot of the work I do is for the flagship store on the main strip and have been heavily working on a rebrand/launch of their online store. Check out some of my work!

Fall Fashion Mood Board

A local newspaper reached out to the brand I work for asking the buyer’s opinion on where fall fashion trends will fall this year. To support her interview I photographed our assistant in our studio and styled her in some of our fall arrivals. I then grabbed product pictures of things we haven’t received yet and curated this editorial inspired collage using Adobe Photoshop & InDesign. The main focal point of the interview was color schemes & popular fabrications so I translated that visually with two palettes along with accented lines following the rule of thirds to make it appealing aesthetically and not cluttered.

Instagram Campaign

Grace Girl Summer

Running an Instagram for a local small town boutique that’s the place to be can definitely be fun. I came to Grace with no knowledge of what the scene was like despite growing up 35 minutes away, after my first month or so working it became evident that product pictures can only do so much when it comes to gaining attraction.

I pitched Grace Girl Summer for two reasons - 1.) to showcase the girls that work at the boutique because they’re all stunning and 2.) to form a personal connection between the followers & the brand. My posts had +100% interaction when there was a person in the image, I wanted to take full advantage of that!

Each week I take a Grace Girl and have her pick out 2 of her favorite outfits that we have stock of in store and go to her favorite spot in town. I use my Sony A7iii for our photo shoots and retouch on Lightroom. I then use InDesign & Photoshop to put together a cute carousel for the Friday post. At the end of the summer I’ll hold an Instagram giveaway and invite a follower to be the Grace Girl of the week!

Hello gorg!

Something that’s important to the brand I’m working for is reward sign ups - I was inspired by a recent shopping trip I took and noticed a cute little card in my bag. I wanted to design something that would catch the consumers eye.

This design is outside the box for Grace - a little boutique described as New England/coastal boho. It appeals to a generation a little older than mine but I figured going retro would be a great middle ground aesthetically. The colors I have match our summer style guide but are more vibrant.

Overall this has been one of my favorite campaigns I’ve created & executed from start to finish. Having just launched I’m eager to see the reward sign up performance from here on out!
