Web3.js Faucet Plugin for Testnets  —

A hackathon winning idea to support via Gitcoin #GG20

The Faucet Plugin for Testnet was built using ChainSafe’s web3.js template. The purpose of the plugin is to simplify the faucet process for developers and community managers/testnet token distributors. The plugin automates token requests from faucet services and incorporates Tableland’s cloud database to privatize the automation process.

This plugin is needed to:
- Streamline the development and testing process.
- Create a more reliable testing environment.
- Prevent double-spending and faucet abuse.
- Enhance security, transparency, and trust.
- Improving developer experience, thus onboarding more blockchain developers and in turn, more blockchain users.

The web3.js Faucet Plugin for Testnets was developed by me, Evelynn Jones—a self-taught blockchain developer and cybersecurity student who’s passionate about preserving blockchain technology.
