FIDM Social Ambassadors are a group of FIDM Students from all over the world that come together to be an extension of the FIDM Social Media Team! These students serve as go-tos for help with FIDM Events and social media content creation. Additionally, they represent FIDM in various brand content collaborations. Past collaborators have been Colourpop, Beautycon, ComplexCon, Sephora, and Louis Vuitton!

COVID-19 ALLOWS FOR EXCEPTIONS TO AMBASSADOR REQUIREMENTS. THIS WEBSITE MOSTLY REFLECTS THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM PRE + POST-PANDEMIC. THE FIDM SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM WILL ELABORATE UPON ACCEPTANCE.
Ambassador Responsibilities

One of the best parts of the FIDM Social Ambassador program is the spontaneous opportunities to attend events and experiences! Although it’s only required to do one of each below, it’s encouraged for Ambassadors to engage as much as possible!
Events
FIDM Events are held throughout the year that need contributions from FIDM Social Ambassadors. These events include, but aren’t limited to, FIDM DEBUT, Open House, Orientation, Graduation, and Lecture Series. Ambassadors will be contacted directly on an as-needed basis (via email or text) and are expected to participate in at least one event per quarter.
These Ambassadors will most often be asked to do the following...
• Social content creation/coverage
• Panel/live-chat participation
• Attendee engagement: welcoming, guiding
Content Contribution
Ambassadors are required to collaborate with the FIDM Social Media team on content for TikTok or Instagram at least once per quarter. At the beginning of each quarter, they will contact FIDM’s Social Media Coordinator with their content plan.
Instagram Options: (See @FIDM for Examples):
• Submit relevant photos that convey personal FIDM Experience to be used on the @FIDM Instagram
• Takeover FIDM’s Instagram Story for an event/experience or "Day in the Student Life."
• Create a long-form video for FIDM’s IGTV.
• Create a short-form video for FIDM’s Reels.
TikTok:
• Create a short-form video for the @FIDMCollege TikTok, preferably one following a current trend.
Ambassador Get-Togethers
Each quarter, the FIDM Social Media team will provide opportunities for all Ambassadors to gather together for industry field-trips, photoshoots, exhibit visits, etc. Each ambassador is required to attend at least one.

Acceptance & Training

Applications are accepted year-round and new FIDM Social Ambassadors are accepted quarterly on an as-needed basis. New candidates will be contacted via email and instructed with next steps.
