I’m Heather!

Fit Hippie Coaching

I’m a group fitness & holistic weight loss coach, and my mission is to empower women to take back their body, their mind, & their life, by making weight loss fun, simple, and sustainable.

I help overweight women feeling stuck and overwhelmed revive their lifestyles so that they’re able to lose weight, regain their confidence, and become a happier, healthier, more vibrant version of themselves without the added stress of restrictive diets and spending hours at the gym.

I’ll help you find your inner spark again and re-ignite it so that you can embrace the woman you came here to be!

You see… I’ve been in you’re shoes and I know how frustrating it can be. After years of yo-yo dieting, trying multiple different types of workouts, and being diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid disorder called Hashimotos, I finally learned how to lose the weight and keep it off! My personal journey led to my passion for fitness & holistic wellness and my desire to help other women create a lifestyle for sustainable weight loss. I focus on your lifestyle rather than a cookie cutter approach in order to find what works for YOU.

6 Beliefs Keeping You From Getting the Body You Want

Ladies, For the love of god PLEASE stop being so depressed about mid-life and turning the big 4-0! SO WHAT! My grandma is 96! If that’s any indication of how long I can potentially live if I stay healthy I haven’t even lived half my life yet!

So you have two choices. You can sit there feeling stuck and sorry for yourself thinking you’re never going to have that sexy 30-year old bod back, and settle for whatever it turned out to be because it’s easier to stay in your comfort zone, or you can stop complaining and actually do something about it!

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right!”

Why not embrace the 4th decade of your life as a new beginning to become the best version of yourself inside and out!

If you’re ready to feel confident, sexy, and even better than you did in your 20s keep reading!

Everyone has certain beliefs and habits that dictate their behavior. A lot of these beliefs keep us from even attempting to achieve or acquire the things we want, and unfortunately, this seems to be especially true when it comes to how we eat and move our bodies. Some of these beliefs even prevent people from ever trying to get healthy.

Now that I've learned, through my own weight-loss journey, how easy it can be to make simple changes that can have profound effects on not just your weight, but on your entire life, I want to help other women do the same thing.

Are any of these beliefs keeping you from getting the body you want?

1. “I must have everything before I get started”

You know the routine; you think you have to get new tennis shoes, join a gym, buy new workout clothes, find the perfect diet, and more. Realize that you don't need anything fancy to get started. You know what food is healthy and what isn't. Go for a walk.

* Get started today with what you already know. You can improve your diet and exercise routine each week. Nothing happens without action, so start taking action today.

2. “I’m too out of shape to exercise “

Lots of overweight people believe this one. The truth is that exercise is relative.

For some people, exercising means running 10 miles. For others, it might mean walking to the mailbox and back.

The key is to stress your body slightly and then let it recover. The amount of work it takes to achieve that is all relative to the individual.

3. “I don’t have time to cook”

There are plenty of things that are healthy to cook that take almost zero attention. Throw some beans in a pot and let them boil for a couple of hours while you're busy with something else.

The total time actually spent doing anything is less than a minute. Do this ahead of time and then just reheat for mealtime.

4. “I’m so out of shape, I’ll never be able to get back in shape”

It's true that the more out of shape you are, the longer it's going to take. (So stop procrastinating!!) But you can improve each week. It doesn't take much to lose one pound each week, and that's 50 pounds in a year!

It's important to just focus on this week. If you focus two years out, it's tough to persevere.

5. “I don’t know how to get started”

If you're in poor physical shape, nearly anything is good enough. Clean up your diet a little bit. Move around a little bit more than you have been.

Once you make an improvement in your habits, your body will respond. Then you need to change a little more. It's not necessary to have a complicated routine.

* Try this: Replace one 'bad' food that you eat regularly with something that you know is healthy. Also add going for a walk to your daily routine. Go as slowly as you need to. If you can only walk 5 minutes, that's fine. Next week you'll be able to walk 10. Each week improve your diet and increase your activity by just a little bit.

6. “It’s too complicated “

This belief comes from the media. If they kept everything simple, what would they have to sell and talk about? Diet and exercise can be very simple unless you're trying to train for a competition or athletic event. Don't be fooled into thinking that you're knowledge is insufficient.

Take a look at your beliefs. What's stopping you from taking better care of yourself? Is your belief reasonable, or is it just an excuse to maintain your current behavior because that's what's comfortable for you?

If you can change your beliefs, you can change your behavior and get better results. Which can ultimately change your entire life!

Start eating a little bit better and exercising a little bit more today, and sooner than you think, you'll have the body you've been wanting.
