My name is Sheila, I’m a Dental Hygiene Student at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. I’m a mother of 3, and have been working in the dental field as a Certified DA for over 7 years. I earned my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences: Health Professions, Behavioral, & Social Sciences at West Los Angeles College. My goal is to become an RDHAP (Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice).

Working as a DA for some time has allowed me to grow immense passion for oral care. I wanted to learn more in the dental field so that I can become more accredited for patients. By taking a leap of faith, I enrolled into college full-time during the Pandemic to accomplish all pre-requirements to apply for Dental Hygiene school. I’ve gone through many obstacles to get where I am today and I’m excited to share my journey with all of you.
