About
Hey FloTown, meet your nanny!
After years of child care jobs I felt like I was ready to enter the “normal” workforce. So I did just that, and I took a job at a local health care company working in data. I owe a lot to that job it taught me I hated a desk job, I hated fluorescent lights, money wasn’t the answer, and I missed working a fast pace job with lots of kids. That job also taught me how to ask for flexibility, pay raises, and work with those in high leadership positions. We all at some point learn something isn’t for us, but also learn to show gratitude for the things it provided. Needless to say here I am back working in child care loving every moment of it, and now with the business skills needed to run a nanny agency! My experience includes: two summers at a residential summer camp, two years teaching swim lessons, four years as a lifeguard, two of which spent as a waterfront lifeguard, and caring for several families of all ages, sizes, and developmental levels.
