Welcome

Tiffany @forest.bound.journey

I'm just an energy being living on the bend of the mighty Mississippi, roaming the rolling bluffs, chasing sunsets and dreaming of downsizing.

I love reading and researching about plant, tree & mycelium life in my area. Foraging and the gunless hunt of finding and identifying native species is a thrill.

I'm currently working on downsizing so I can live a more simplistic life, big goals of moving to the forest, cutting work down to part-time and spend more time in nature where I feel most connected to my mind/body/spirit.

My daily life is filled with herbs, mushrooms, plants & essential oils as tools for wellness & energy. Our bodies love the cohesive inclusion. Hiking is my favorite way to move intentionally and release the daily grind.

Looking forward to.meeting other energy beings on a similar journey.

My MN Favorites.

Let's get you on some adventures here in MN.

I love to hike and photograph mushrooms, moss, trees and all things nature. Foraging for morels has me "gettin low" a lot differently than 20 years ago🤣

Lake Pepin

Living in Red Wing, Lake Pepin has always been a favorite of mine. Agate hunting, swimming in the lake and overall admiring the beauty. But it needs our help!
This is an organization that I stand by.

Favorite Mushroom to forage.

These beautiful elusive Delicious woodland treats are my favorite to forage for. Sorry no inside tips on where to find them😉 but I will give you a tip for when you find a spot. Pin it to your Google maps!

Please do not pick mushrooms if you aren't sure of what they are. Go with an experienced person to help identify edible morels.

Best scenery and hike. He Mni Can.

I've been roaming this bluff since 1983, I used to hike my oldest in a pack on my back on the trails here. It has my heart, my thoughts and holds so much magic.

I will chase those Waterfalls!

Minnesota has some beautiful waterfalls. Be sure to stop and experience them when you can. The North Shore is where it's at, the best of everything, dense forests, the big beautiful Lake Superior and gorgeous waterfalls.

Memorial Park. Easy hiking in lower quarry.

Memorial park has so many trails in the lower quarry area, it's one of my favorite spots to grab my backpack and roam, wooded to prairie grass fields on top of a bluff overlooking our river valley area.

Bring home the bones.

It may sound weird but I love finding shed antlers, bones, and skulls. I turn them into their very own works of art.
This past year I found a racoon skull, its going to get a metal treatment done to it and adorned with beautiful pendants.

Frontenac State Park.

Plan a whole day here. It is Stunning! A nice area for picnics and an abundance of trails inside and along side of the park. Limestone cliffsides, trails down to the lake, pine forest and praire trails. This State park offers it all. If you plan on foraging please read State rules and regulations and practice ethical & sustainable foraging.

P.s. there is a wonderful spot for swimming just past the entrance to the park.

Moss, the mini magical forest dweller.

I am Obsessed with moss, and where there's moss there's mushrooms (my most Favorite thing)!!

Hay Creek trails.

I feel like this area is such a hidden gem. There is paved trail and many dirt trails in the area. My favorite area is the Stone house loop.

Minnesota State Parks.

Minnesota from top to bottom has changing scenery. Stunning trails & lakes. I'll attach a list so you can start checking them off.
