British soprano Frances Israel is from Camden, London and has been performing in the UK and internationally for the past 10 years. She made her operatic debut in 2015 at Wexford Festival Opera in the role of Sandman in Hansel and Gretel and Jeanne in Koanga by Delius.
In more recent years Frances has been engaged by The Grange Festival, UK to cover the principal roles of Micäela in Carmen and Konstanze in The Abduction from the Seraglio as well as jumping in at last minute to sing the small role of 1st Bridesmaid in Le nozze di Figaro with the Academy of Ancient Music. Frances has also worked with renowned theatre company Complicite, workshopping the roles of Anne Truelove and 1st Lady for new productions of The Magic Flute and The Rake’s Progress in conjunction with English National Opera.
Future plans include the role of Mabel in a concert performance of The Pirates of Penzance and as the soprano soloist for various concerts including a full programme of Mozart at Bristol Cathedral later this year.
