Who are we, and why should you care?
Finally a way to introduce young girls into the world of STEM.
Girls STEM-It is an initiative to spark young girls’ interests in STEM. We currently guide 2nd-4th grade girls into the world of STEM through hands-on programming courses. Our mission is to nurture young girls’ curiosity and confidence in STEM fields for their long-term success.
Each girl in our program is one more girl who will make a change in the future of STEM for women. The best way to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields is by starting early. Studies show that the majority of girls lose confidence in math by 3rd grade, and the amount only rises as they age. We are dedicated to revolutionizing the future of girls in STEM and providing all young girls with the tools to make a difference before they lose their confidence.
We are more than a series of courses. Girls STEM-It is a place to empower women in STEM, a safe place to gain advice about real-life problems Steminists face today, and most importantly, we are a community that welcomes young girls into the world of STEM with open arms.
