Similar to waxing, sugaring works to remove the hair from the root without disturbing the surrounding skin. It doesn’t stick to the top layer of skin like wax. Instead, it adheres to hair and dead skin cells so there’s less risk of hair breakage & skin irritation. The name for this method comes from the paste itself, which consists of lemon, water, and sugar. Sugaring is the most sanitary form of hair removal that’s currently available. Bacteria cannot breed in high concentrations of sugar, leaving no room for the possibility of contamination.

Glow by Kie requires a 24 hour cancellation policy for all appointments. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service fees. No-show appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee. You must be on time to your service. Your service will be considered a no-show if you haven’t communicated with me prior to your scheduled service time. After two no showed appointments you will no longer be able to book with Glow by Kie.
You’ll need a minimum of 2-3 weeks of grow out. You can lightly trim if hair is too long. Exfoliate & moisturizer 24hrs before service. Know what style/ shape you’d like, come into your service shower fresh. I recommend taking a Tylenol before your appointment. Don’t have sex before any type of intimate waxing & wear loose clothing. Check for signs of broken or inflamed skin. Avoid products with retinol two weeks before service.
For the first 24hrs AFTER WAX AVOID:
Direct sunlight/ tanning, Exercise, Hot shower, Sauna, Hot-tubs, Pools, Tight clothing, Perfume Products, Sex.
More TIPS/TRICKS:
Don’t shave between appointments, wait 2-3 days after service to start exfoliating again, Exfoliate 1-2x a week, Moisturize daily, book next appointment 4-6 weeks out.
Make sure to set aside enough time for your service, come with clean/ makeup free brows. Let your brow artist know if anything you’ve previously done would influence the results of your service. (Chemicals, Medications, Allergies, Infections, ect.)
With the proper aftercare, henna can last up to 6 weeks on hair & 2 weeks on skin. Keep brows dry for the first 12hrs, avoiding any makeup. Don’t over expose to sunlight/tanning & don’t apply any harsh skincare to fresh brows.
