HANNAH SCHIMMER

I'm so happy you're here.

Ever since I first experienced the magic of birth, I have felt a burning passion within me; a knowing and a calling. Since having two babies of my own and experiencing personally the absolute miracle of childbirth, the inspiration and passion only grew. I knew after the birth of my sweet youngest boy, that it was time to answer the call.

I whole-heartedly believe that being a doula is more than just a job that you do. It is something that you already are. Through this process I have felt a strong affirmations that birth work is the purpose of my life and I am eager to share that with YOU.

The journey into becoming a mother is the most transformative, beautiful and brutal passage. I believe that every person deserves support and a hand to hold through every step; from conception to postpartum and beyond. The power of ongoing support and encouragement is profound, and I want to offer that to anyone I reach.

If you are entering motherhood and looking for the right person to walk with you, call on me. You can book a free consultation - virtually or in-person, to see if I'm the right fit. I'm so excited to work with you.

Hannah Schimmer

More about your doula.

Hi, I'm Hannah! I'm a native Oregonian, born and raised and only left for five minutes before realizing that this beautiful green state would always be home. I am a mother to two beautiful boys; they are my "why" and reason for all that I do. When I'm not supporting mamas in their journey through motherhood, you can find me spending time with my boys, soaking up the sun, writing or flying around Oregon with my handsome honey.

From a young age, I knew that my purpose was to be a mother. Of course, I had a very different idea how it all would unfold - but life had other plans and humbled me. I was able to be a full-time stay at home mom with both of my boys for six years, which was the greatest gift of my life. But as that season of my life came to an end, I was left to soul-search and dig deep. Which brings me here, with you.

When I witnessed my first live birth years ago, a fire was lit deep within my soul. Then after my own experiences with pregnancy, birth and postpartum, that fire only grew. I felt a deep passion for all things motherhood and knew that eventually I needed to explore that passion. It feels like an absolute dream come true to call this my job. Witnessing the miracle of life, where the veil between life and what lies beyond is so thin, rattles me to my core in the most beautiful way. I firmly believe that the work of a doula is not something you do, it's something you already are. I have answered my calling and am doing the work of my soul.

I feel strongly that every person needs and deserves the support and constant encouragement of a doula. Through pregnancy, delivery and postpartum. The transformation into motherhood is heavy, beautiful and packed full of unknowns, and having a hand to hold through it all makes a profound difference.

If it is your time to bring new life into this world, I would love to be your girl.
