TOP FREE THINGS TO DO IN SAVANNAH, GA

I visited the beautiful and historic city of Savannah this summer! I had such a great time and want to share with you some of the places I visited. If you plan to take a trip there, make sure to check these spots out.

Recommendation #1

Wormsloe Historic Site - this site has the most beautiful Spanish moss trees ever! It has a very long drive way and you can make a quick stop to enjoy the scenery and snap a few shots.

Recommendation #2

Savannah Belles Ferry Ride - Want a free Ferry ride? This is it! This ferry takes you across the Savannah River between downtown’s riverwalk and Hutchinson Island. It’s a short 5 minute ride but it’s a fun experience!

Recommendation #3

Forsyth Park - one of Savannah’s most well known icons. It has a beautiful fountain and the park is filled with greenery and Spanish moss. It’s great if you want to go out and have a picnic or just talk a walk in the park.

Recommendation #4

River Street - where you’ll find everything you could want here! There is so much to see at the famous River Street. They have great restaurants, candy stores (River Street Sweets), souvenir and ice cream shops. You can take a stroll around and enjoy the river. They even have frequent freight ships crossing which are pretty cool to see. You’ll want to take pictures of everything, enjoy a few of mine!

Recommendation #5

Leopold’s Ice cream is a great treat to grab while exploring the Savannah Historic district. Its full of beautiful squares, churches and shops!

Recommendation #6

There are so many more places to see and things to do but I wanted to share a few of the things that I explored! And of course, I can’t forget Tybee Island! The weather was beautiful - Tybee Pier & Pavilion - 16th St., Tybee Island, GA 31328.
