HBARBOYS is a project that I have had a vision of for about a year. It is inspired by my life on the streets of Tucson, AZ starting at the young age of 13.
I was raised by a single mom of 6, and we struggled hard to keep the rent paid, food on the table, and bills paid. I started hustling at 13, and wound up running with the wrong crowd. I was in & out of jail for years. Trouble always seemed to find me. Being homeless, hungry and sleeping in bus stops or on park benches was my norm. It was rough.
When I went to prison, I found God. It gave me a whole new lease on life. I became determined to make something of myself, and to help other hood boys to get out of that life. Faith can move mountains, and I truly believe in this project and the good that it can do for so many. Between this project and my vision, I believe we can pull together as a community and make this happen.
A portion of the proceeds will go to helping youngsters with food, school supplies, clothing and more. I will be posting videos here and on Twitter with updates for the ones that this project helps.
