My name is Jareny but you can call me Jay. I was born and raised in a small town called Daphne, located right across the bay from Mobile Alabama. I've been Married to my wonderful, loving husband George for 14 years, together for 16 years. Together we have a total of 5 children and they all give us a run for our money!🤣😂

I began to develop a passion for locs when my husband George started his loc journey back in 2012.

While he embarked on his loc journey I began to teach myself how to do retwists, loc maintenance, loc styles and a lot of do's and don'ts. I used platforms like You Tube, Instagram, Facebook and Google Search. I even began to make my own products, stay tuned for that!😉

I didn't join the loc gang until 2018. I wouldn't say that I did the "big chop". As I rocked a short hair cut, on my relaxed hair for about a year. Then a afro, boy was that rough but I loved the look! From there I let my fro grow out for about another year, then I Loc'd my hair up on July 6, 2018. The journey has been nice I must say! I really can't complain!

But I haven't looked back since! Best decision I have ever made! Now Here it is, 2021 and I'm 3 years strong in loc gang! 🤟🏾🤞🏾👏🏾

Since then I have started my own loc business called
Head Loc'd Studio!
I cleaned out my in home office and turned it into a in home hair studio. I found all of my equipment on Facebook marketplace. I wanted to save as much money as possible on equipment. I figured hey, we all have to start somewhere!

This is just the beginning! I'm so excited about my new business journey and where it's headed! I Give Thanks to God, my husband, family and friends for their love and support!

It's never too late to find your passion! Continue to keep God first and he shall lead you in the right direction.
