About me
Hello hello 👋🏼
🎶 I’m Emily Arrow! With my ukulele named Bow, I create music and books for young people.
🏹 I believe music is a powerful tool for self expression and mindfulness. Through literacy and music education, we can cultivate peacefulness at any age.
☀️ Based on the west coast, I’m a graduate of Berklee College of music and began creating music for children while teaching K-6 elementary music in Los Angeles.
🎥 With the growth of my YouTube Channel, I left the classroom to begin touring schools and libraries around the country.
📚 Beginning with the book THE DOT by award-winning author Peter H. Reynolds, I create songs about picture books to promote literacy. Along the way, I’ve built a process for obtaining permission to adapt books into songs and have coined the genre, “kidlit tunes.”
🏆 Winner of The Lennon Award, Parents’ Choice Award, National Parenting Products Award, and Nashville Scene’s Best Local Kids’ Entertainer 2018.
🎨 My debut picture book, STUDIO: A PLACE FOR ART TO START launches March 3, 2020. And of course, there is a song —with motions!!
