Karen Stephanie Baca was born in Santa Ana, California and raised in Anaheim. She grew up in a neighborhood where Hip Hop was everyone’s escape. Especially in the early 90’s.
She fell in love with Hip Hop at the age of 4 and from there on, she started to explore different genres of music and artists she grew to love. Growing up, She started to purchase blank cassette tapes to record her favorite songs on the radio. (Power 106, 92.3 The Beat)
Karen would research artists from their first singles played on the air waves. When she couldn’t figure out the Artists names, she would go to her local Virgin record store in Orange and often would recite a bar or two for the cashier.
In hopes of being guided to the artist’s album. Karen later began her journey within radio when she started attending seminars in Los Angeles in regards to getting started within the media field. That’s when she decided to attended The Academy Of Radio And Television in Huntington Beach, California.
Since then, Karen has engineered for multiple podcast shows throughout Inglewood, California. She is a Radio Presenter, A Journalist and A Creator of her own YouTube series called H.E.R. TV Inspired by Legendary Rapper Common (Hip Hop In It’s Essence is Real)
H.E.R. TV is a place where any artist can have a conversation and freely express their love and drive for H.E.R.
