Hi! I'm Sam - a born and raised Colorado girl living in the Rocky Mountains. I'm an outgoing adventure enthusiast that is always on the go and exploring with my husband, Rob and mountain pup, Penny! I enjoy traveling, hiking, radio contests, running, alpine stand up paddle boarding, photography, xc skiing, concerts, fat biking, being an aunt, snowshoeing, curling, true crime podcasts, road trips, and a little bit of everything in between.
I grew up with a family of adventurers that made calling my mom while she was working in Antarctica and Patagonia the norm. Finding me being ever-so envious of my brother and sister's international and often secluded work destinations is a usual occurrence. I'm constantly scouting out trails and bodies of water, applying for permits, setting my next goals, and dreaming up new wild journeys.
I've run two marathons! The first was the Steamboat Springs Marathon and the second was the Big Sur International Marathon. I've run dozens of half marathons (my favorite distance) throughout Canada and the United States. Currently training for Zion in February 2020.
I've reached the summit of over half of the Colorado 14ers and have visited exactly half of the National Parks in the United States. Most recently topping Half Dome on the cables route in Yosemite.
I've alpine iSUP'd numerous National Parks after falling in love with the sport in the early 2010's in Hawaii.
My most memorable journey to date was backpacking for three weeks in southern Patagonia across Chile and Argentina. I've road tripped across Canada, Alaska, the entire Western United States as well as large portions of the Midwest with plans for many trips to come. We are looking forward to visiting the east coast soon!
