Two years ago, I really had no idea how important of a role scalp health plays when it comes to healthy hair growth.
If you think about it though, our hair is made up of dead cells whereas our scalps are made up of living, breathing skin cells.
This is why it’s so important to take care of your scalp because it is the foundation that your hair grows from.
Think of your scalp like the soil and your hair like the flowers. If you plant flowers in soil that is lacking nutrients…your flowers will not likely grow or if they do, they won’t look their best.
Healthy soil=healthy flowers
& healthy scalp=healthy hair.
So let’s dive in on how you can start taking care of your scalp!
Specifically Rejuveniqe Oil because it is the only hair & scalp oil on the market that can penetrate all 3 layers deep of the hair & it is formulated to be compatible with the hair & skin as it mimics the body’s natural oil.
1x/week oil treatments with this oil will provide your scalp with nutrients & help hydrate the skin.
You use moisturizer on your skin daily…well we aren’t going to have you put lotion on your head but this is kind of like doing that but ya know, without the mess 😉
This helps even if you have an oily scalp…actually especially if you do. Your scalp is likely overproducing oil because it’s trying to make up for being dry…and if you give it moisture, it will eventually learn how to produce less oil. (i.e. scalp training)
it also helps if you extend time in between washing by even just a day. It might be rough at first but with time & consistent oil treatments it will eventually stop producing so much oil.
We’ve already established that your scalp is made up of skin…and actually an extension of the skin on your face…
Except the skin on your scalp actually ages 6x faster than the skin on your face and 12x faster than the skin on the rest of your body 😳
Exfoliating helps the regeneration of skin cells which is why we exfoliate our faces 1-2x/week so that we can stay looking younger.
But we often forget about the skin on our scalp which requires the same thing!
Use a gentle exfoliating scalp scrub like MONAT’S Apple Cider Vinegar Scalp Scrub (no worries it does not smell like vinegar I promise!) once a week to
•remove stubborn buildup from styling products
•improve blood circulation (which aids in hair growth)
•regenerate skin cells
I usually stack this following an oil treatment. Apply the Rejuveniqe Oil at night and wrap your hair up in a satin hairwrap or just braid it and have a designated oil treatment night pillow case 😜, sleep with it in overnight & exfoliate it out with the scalp scrub in the shower. Follow the scrub with your shampoo.
Switch to clean products and your scalp and hair will thank you! 🙏🏼 Most grocery store/drug store hair products contain a lot of harmful ingredients, waxes, and silicones.
Silicone can make your hair appear healthy, shiny, and smooth but a big reason why is because they actually coat
your hair strand…which over time actually suffocates the hair follicle.
Do you ever find that when you first start using a shampoo things are going great…until it seems like no matter what your hair just won’t get clean??
That’s how my hair got at one point before I switched to Monat haircare exclusively 👀 and I’m telling you I’ve NEVER been loyal to hair care brand before I tried Monat but once all the buildup was removed my hair became the softest, shiniest it had ever been! They are formulated with Rejuveniqe Oil to get in and gently break down buildup and remove it without stripping your hair of essential nutrients.
