A Little Bit About Me:
Hello,
My name is Hope. I am a Secondary Education English Major with a Minor in History and I am currently studying at Hope College. I also enjoy creating digital art as a hobby on the side.
I have been creating digital art for years. I love the art of creativity. Art can be bold, unique, and fresh. For me, my art is an outlet for internal expression. It’s a way of encapsulating my colorful personality through the use of developed digital images. It’s intrinsic. Idiosyncratic. Ornate. It’s totally me. And, I love it.
This webpage I have created is not only an outlet to my artistic interior, but it is also an exhibition of who I am.
If you are one who is interested in art (specifically digital art), or if you are someone who would like to learn more about it then this is definitely the place to look! If you are someone who isn’t necessarily artistic, that’s totally okay! We all have our own niches. I do encourage one though to take a look around this webpage. Who knows? My Creations:
I love making digital art! It’s passion. It’s expression. It’s love. It’s also really hard work. I wanted to display my art and the tips and tricks I have learned over the years so that people could benefit from it. Often times I find myself scrolling through the digital art facet of Instagram. Whenever I stumble upon something that I think is really unique and cool I always wonder how it was created. In this section of my webpage, I will not only be displaying some of my work but will also reveal how the works of art displayed were created. Make sure to read about each work to find out! I HOPE the tips and tricks provided are helpful!

Work #1:
This piece was rather tricky to create. I started off by opening up my PicsArt app and uploaded the original version of the picture below. Then, I added the pink sky sticker to the image. Next, I enlarged the sticker to fit the full frame of the image. After, I clicked on the “eraser” button at the top of the screen to erase the parts of the sticker that covered the buildings. I then added another plain pink sparkly sticker to the image and used the same enlarging and erasing trick to make the road in the image pink. Then, I added the “hope” blurb by clicking on the “callout” button on the main dashboard at the bottom right hand of the screen. You might have to scroll left to move the dashboard right in order to see this additive. I then typed in the callout what I wanted the blurb to say and I positioned it on my image. I then hit the “Next” button at the top right hand side of the screen and I saved the image to my Camera Roll. I then headed over to Lightroom. Once in Lightroom, I clicked on my “user presets” and I applied the preset “Natural” that I created onto the image. I adjusted some of the settings such as the exposure, highlights, and some of the colors. Finally, I pressed the “arrow up” button at the top right hand of the screen and I saved the image to my camera roll. The image was saved and created! This webpage was created so that I could share some of the tips and tricks I have learned over the years concerning digital editing and digital art. The main lesson I have gotten out of working on and practicing my editing techniques is this: it’s never as simple as it seems. It took me years to get where I am now. And, I’m still learning. The best part out of all of it though is that I get to do something that I love. Yes, I do wake up in the morning and edit. And, yes, the time I spent on PicsArt editing instead of scrolling through Instagram or doing a load of laundry before class was TOTALLY worth it. I love creating digital art. And, I hope that the tips and tricks on this webpage were useful!
