I decided to begin the journey of documenting my experiences as a single mom, first-generation Latina college student, who constantly works at overcoming depression and anxiety. I have shared a lot over at Instagram (@iamelizabethx), but I feel that it’s time I created a place where I could share beyond the limit of the captions on IG.
If you are reading this, thank you for deciding to stop by!
I hope that through sharing my stories and experiences, I can make others feel that they are not alone, that they are understood, and that I can relate to their struggles and their triumphs.
So whether you are a single mother, Latin@, a college student, or someone who battles mental illness, I am here for you! This blog is for you! If you don’t fit any of these categories, don’t worry! You are also welcomed here! Maybe you will find my stories relatable in some way, funny, inspiring, or hopefully at least interesting :).
I appreciate your support through this journey and I hope to see more of you on here and on Instagram!
Sending you positive vibes and happy times!

I never in a million years imagined I would end up as a single mother one year after having my first child. I wanted FIVE kids! And a hot DILF of a husband (lol).
Yet, here I am, a single mom of almost 2 years…literally single.
Don’t worry, I won’t throw myself a pity party here (you’re invited to the next one though)!
I am here today to share how I get through the hardest chapters of my life, and how I enjoy and love the happy ones.
This blog is for me, but also for you.
I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder a few years ago and I battle my mental health demons every day. I want to share how I cope with anxiety & depression and how I keep going in my hardest times in the hope that you can feel encouraged to keep going through your hard times too. You are not alone.
I want to share my experiences, stories, and lessons I have learned throughout my life as a Latina woman, a single mother, a college student, and a mental health warrior.
As an Early Child Development and Behavioral Science major, I have studied what it is like to be a human, what makes a human who they are. I love learning about the human experience and how our biology and environment both shape who we are.
With a minor in Chicano and Latino Studies and as a first generation Mexican-American, I understand the Latino experience in the United States. I identify as a Chicana, a part of a culture created by first-generation Mexican-Americans. I am proud of my Mexican roots and my Latino culture overall and would love to share how it affects my life and those around me.
As a mom, my two-year-old son is my world. I love teaching him new things and helping him explore the world around him. I’d love to share with you my adventures, struggles, and accomplishments in single-motherhood & motherhood overall. I’d love to share activities and experiences that I have done with my munchkin that could hopefully help you and your little ones enjoy your life a little more.
Finally, I hope that my nearly-always positive, quirky, nerdy personality makes you feel welcomed and invited to join me on this journey. I want to help people be the best versions of themselves both physically but more importantly emotionally and psychologically.
This world has enough negativity, it’s time to share positivity!
Hope you stick around and I’m sending you good vibes!

Check out some of my favorite items!
You can find each item on Amazon, just click the image and you can purchase one too! :)
This is my favorite notebook/bullet journal. The pages are high quality, there's so many color options and styles from grid, dotted, squared, to lined and even blank!
I seriously love these pens, they make my writing so much neater! They’re not permanent so they don’t bleed through your paper.
These highlighters are actually mid-liners and they are pastel toned down versions of highlighters. I love how these are double-sided with a regular highlighting tip and another smaller tip for underlining or writing.
Convertible carseat. I did SO much research on what affordable top-rated carseat to get for my baby, and this was one of them. It grows with your baby so you don’t have to keep purchasing different carseats. I love how many designs it comes in and how comfy it is for babies.
This tablet is so affordable and can do so much. I gave it to my son as a Christmas present and he uses it for YouTube, educational games, and Hulu. I love that I can use it as well for reading and web browsing too
Favorite car thing! I love this magnetic phone holder. You clip it to your air vent and then use a little magnet tab on the back of your phone that sticks to the holder via magnets (lol I’m great at explaining).
