Greek Orthodox Church

The Church of Panagia Paraportiani is located in the Kastro neighborhood in the town of Chora on the Greek island of Mykonos. Its name literally means "Our Lady of the Side Gate" in Greek, as its entrance was found at the side gate of the entrance to the Kastro area.

Construction of this church began in 1425 and was not completed until the 17th century. This impressive whitewashed church actually consists of five other churches linked all together: the four churches (Saint Estathios, Saint Sozon, Saints and Saint Anargyroi Anastasia) are all on the ground and form the basis of the fifth church that was built on top of them. This architectural spottiness has made Panagia Paraportiani the most photographed church in Mykonos.

Go enjoy the sunset !

Little Venice is a favorite spot for tourists to enjoy the sunset. It also offers a privileged view of the famous windmills on the opposite side of the beach. Mykonos' capital, Chora, is home to one of the island's landmarks. The small group of charming two-storey houses built on the seafront is called Alefkandra, but is better known as Little Venice, as it is reminiscent of the Italian city.

Seaside hill with 16 historic windmills, famous for making great photos.

The Mykonos windmills are an iconic feature of the Greek island of the Mykonos. The island is one of the Cyclades islands, which neighbour Delos in the Aegean Sea. The windmills can be seen from every point of the village of Mykonos, the island's principal village, which is frequently called the Chora (which translates to "Country" in Greek, but refers to an island's "Town") on Greek islands.

The most beautiful island in Greece

One of the most famous islands in Greece, Mykonos has beautiful white sand beaches, lots of history and unmissable attractions. No wonder the city has been part of the itinerary frequented by celebrities since the 1950s, when a group of rich and famous young people discovered the island.

The beautiful Mykonos is one of the most desired destinations for tourists arriving on the Greek island. And, of course, it's not for nothing! The destination brings together breathtaking natural beauty, popular beaches, villages of white houses full of charm, as well as one of the most appreciated cuisines in the world.
