Donations for Migrant Workers’ Assistance Fund

[Migrant Workers’ Centre]
MWC also promotes migrant workers' social integration as well as their harmonious co-existence with Singaporeans at the workplace and beyond. As case assistance for migrant workers is frequently accompanied by follow-on issues with housing, food and other subsistence costs, the MWAF was set up in 2012 (IPC-certified in 2014) to fund all humanitarian and emergency assistance rendered to MWC case clients - if their employers fail to discharge the duty to care for and protect their own workers. The MWAF allows the MWC to cover and protect vulnerable workers up till their outstanding matters are resolved and concluded, and is a key resource for the MWC in providing proper and adequate help to distressed and victimized migrant workers in Singapore.

Nominate those in need

[Ya Kun]
Dear Friends,

With April’s Business and School closures, some children will go without meals and family incomes will be severely affected.

Ya Kun has set aside, as a start, 200 Kaya Toast Sets for children who may have to go hungry during this period..

I’m asking that if you know someone whose income is severely affected and has kids, kindly nominate their email to ykcherish@yakun.com and state how many children they have in that household. (No names or any other information is required.)

We will then send that email Voucher Codes for them to redeem via the Ya Kun Cherish App, which they can then use at the Ya Kun Stores. Sorry, takeaways only.

Resources are scarce so please limit it to genuine cases. We have to limit to a maximum of 4 sets per family.

If you want to be a part of this, you can also purchase meals through me (Jesher) as part of the project or for a specific family so that we can give out more Kaya Toast Sets.

I’m concerned about falsehood and fraud so please only forward this to people you know and trust.

Thank you!

Nominate those in need

[Tastebuds.sg]
For families in need:

"As you might be aware the Singapore Government just announced a "circuit breaker" aka partial lockdown which may make it even harder for many to put food on the table.

Some of us are too proud to seek help even though we need it.
If you know of any family with children whom are facing challenges to bring food to the table, please reach out to us on FB message or at hello@tastebuds.sg. We’ll keep it all confidential.

Our company has set aside over $20,000 worth of food and we wish to bless families in need, who can’t apply for ComCare and/or just so happen to fall out of the bracket for government aid. Our intention is to donate meats to these families as and when needed.

Do share.
Love,
