This event is great for a beginner looking to grow their food in an urban environment.
This is for the anyone trying to learn more about growing food and living a more sustainable lifestyle. In this class we will touch on the life cycle of the seed and how to keep the seed healthy and protected to become a fully mature fruiting vegetable. We will talk about the stages of the plant, what should be happening and what we should be doing at these stages. We will cover fertilization and feedings for optimal fruiting. Guests will be planting 4-6 different vegetables and leaving with their pods. Each guest will receive a germination station, seeds, soil, and basic knowledge on how to care for their seeds once at home. This class would be great for beginner gardeners and persons who have an interest in growing their own foods in an urban society.
