Ready, Set, Stick!
My name is Crystal Uribe. I am a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified Emergency Nurse, Educator, Consultant, Social Nurse Activist, and Mentor.
I am the founder of Intravenous Queen. I began my nursing career in the Emergency Department at MetroSouth Hospital on the South Side of Chicago and I obtained my Board Certification for Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) in 2016. During my time in the Emergency Department, I remained a cultivated leader in the acute management for strokes. After I moved from Chicago to California, I started a nursing position at Stanford Medical Center’s Radiology Department, where I also served as a representative on Stanford’s Quality Improvement Team, which focuses on workflow improvements and patient safety.
My desire has always been to make a positive impact on the world and this led to the creation of Intravenous Queen. My mission had come to life - to globally impact patient outcomes through IV education on peripheral vascular access. After cultivating a strong social community of nurses and healthcare workers from all over the world, I decided it was time to leave my full time position at Stanford Medical Center to focus on my passion - educating healthcare professionals on peripheral IV access.
I use my public platform to promote advocacy, share knowledge, and provide education for nurses and healthcare professionals. Intravenous Queen provides education and consulting services to private medical practices, hospital systems, and healthcare professionals throughout the world on policies and procedures, standardized patient-care workflows, and systemic management development for private medical management companies.
Intravenous Queen has been focused on developing highly educational and informative courses for nurses. Proudly, Intravenous Queen is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission (ANCC). In addition, Intravenous Queen’s IV Workshops are approved for continuing education by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
