Sundari means beautiful woman in Hindi. It refers to our inner beauty, strength, and grace. The word has always held a special meaning to me, so much so that I have a tattoo of it on my arm. Life can take us through trials and tribulations and how we handle those situations define and mold us into the person we are now. We are ever changing. We are always a work in progress.
In April 2012, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I struggled with the diagnosis even though it was caught early and I have a moderate case of the disease. I knew I needed to make changes in my life but had gone through some dramatic events that were hindering my motivation to make those changes to my lifestyle.
It wasn't until August 2014 that I finally got fed up with how I was feeling and looking, and I came to the realization that in order to help control my disease, I needed to make some changes in my lifestyle.
So the journey of a healthier lifestyle started September 2014! And I can't imagine my life any other way now.
