My “Why.”

Remember Why You Started

“You need to figure out what you want to do and be for the rest of your life before you finish these next four years.” That daunting sentence haunted me all throughout high school. How did they expect me to figure out a career and what I wanted my future to look like at only 14 years old?
Well short story, I followed the crowd and went to college. I changed my major four times (yes literally).
I ended up falling into hospitality. The good ole restaurant business, you know the holidays off, countless hours on your feet, constant complaints?
I’ve always heard that you could start your own business but that in itself seemed impossible... how in the world could I achieve such a “only in my dreams,” accomplishment if I couldn’t even figure out a major?
Well fast forward to me now (24 years old in case you were wondering) putting a brake on the “what if’s,” and putting pedal to the metal on the “never let your fear decide your fate.”

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to go after your dreams or go after something only you have been holding yourself back from, let this be it. If you can’t relate and you knew you wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer since you came out of the womb or made this decision a long time ago, congrats and I’m proud of you!

If you have any questions and want to chat, reach out to me, maybe we can become business partners and tackle the self limiting behaviors together. Or, if you just need a friend to talk to, I’m here too.

P.S: my names Jessica and it’s awesome to meet you!
