Welcome to my world of Jphotographyllc! While your here I’d love to tell you more on what we’re about! I picked up my first 35mm film camera in 2008 while I was in high school and immediately fell in love with telling a story through my lens! I’ve been a community organizer and mentor in my neighborhood since my first job at age 15 but photography quickly became my passion and tool of choice thats helped me to tell my community’s story as well! I decided to take a leap of faith and start my businesses in 2015, with a dollar and a dream. 💕 Starting out I worked with Women In Media Global Philly, KicksUSA x Puma Collaboration for the Clyde Mid Release, LiveInThe Moment Experimental Marketing Group (Now LivePhilly) shooting various club functions. In 2018 I became an official photographer for the Odunde African Street Festival here in Philadelphia (Now two years running) and have worked with artists such as The Migos, 21Savage, KRS1, BIG KRIT and Bun B just to name a few.
I am currently a certified special education teacher and mentor for urban youth, and still very much an activist in my community , an advocate, and avid supporter of up & coming back businesses!
Photography has allowed me to touch my hood but build a larger media platform that allows me to tell other urban communities truths authentically; As well as share my life experiences and travel to document/ support other black starts up, small businesses and even celebrities alike!
So if your dreaming a dream keep going, I’m rooting for YOU!
