Ingredients

Life is such an amazing thing. My journey has had me, at times, dining in the company of actual Royalty...while at other times, I've been blessed to find enough food in the waste bin to feed not only myself, but also the homeless veterans who generously shared their accomodations with me-without the slightest hesitation...gladly sharing every material possession they had with me: clothing, sleeping bags, tents, a bike to get around on, and anything else they had.
I've known the love of a father, and a mother, who wanted nothing more than to have a chance to give all of their love to a child, even if it wasn't of their making. I've known the love and support of a good woman, and have felt the purest kind of love that exists only in the soul of one good friend for another. I've known the indescribable elation that results from the attentions given by a good teacher for a student in which they see unlimited potential, and the promise of the future. I've known the love of amazing children, who admire their father, despite his glaring faults and all-too-human shortcomings. And finally, I've known the love that only exists when a human properly treats and cares for one of our Canine companions...a devotion so complete and beneficial for all parties involved, that it bridges a complete inability to communicate in the fashion to which we are accustomed.
I have been given every gift that a man could possibly want. Heaven isn't some faraway place that I might experience after I cease to draw breath. Heaven is here, and now. I know, because I live there.
