Stress unfortunately is an inevitable occurrence that happens in every stage of life.  When we were young and resilient, stressful situations may not take as much of a toll on our mind and bodies.  But as we get older our bodies natural defences begin to breakdown and make it even more stressful to cope with the anxiety.

Unique to women are the many roles that we take on.  In today's society, women's roles often include family obligations, caregiving for children and/or elderly parents and work responsibilities as well as other roles.  As women we can feel overwhelmed and maybe even a sense of failure is not totally foreign to us as women.
