Joining the Industry
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for helping others. One of my biggest personal joys is putting a smile on someone’s face and helping their confidence grow. I’ve personally been lucky enough to find a career where I’m able to do just that.
My decision to officially join the beauty industry as an esthetician began in January of 2019. Having a mom who was already in this industry as a cosmetologist and also having a crazy obsession with makeup in high school is what led me to make this decision. Learning more about all of the makeup trends and seeing what makeup could do for anyone slowly led me to start becoming more interested in skin. One day after doing some research about different careers involving skin I had come across an esthetician. I honestly had no clue what an esthetician even was but after learning more about what they could offer or how they could help people, I started to see myself doing that.
I then made the decision in taking the next step and setting up a few different tours at beauty schools. After seeing my tour at Capitol School of Hairstyling and Esthetics in Omaha Nebraska, I knew that’s where I wanted to go. I was lucky enough to attend the November 2019 class, due to their waiting list starting to fill up.
After graduating and passing my state exam in May of 2020 I was on to finding my perfect home. I always had the idea of having my own business in the back of my head but knew it would be very risky, especially with just coming out of school. After three long months of going back and forth with interviews and trying to find that perfect place I knew being my own boss was what I truly wanted. I took that leap of faith and started K.Esthetics. I’m so happy with my decision and can’t wait to see where my journey will lead me in the beauty industry.
