Well, hello there!

So nice to meet you!

My name is Malani Venter.

My friends call me Mel... others Kaatjie... which is totally fine by me. But the name of my teeny tiny business is named after my "healthy looking" (we don't say fat!) black cat.

I do custom acrylic portraits of families,
friends and the furry kids. And a bit of other handmade products like shopping bags, tea towels and illustrations on wooden blocks.

By day I'm working at a daily newspaper in Cape Town, South Africa, and by night I create, not with words, but with paint!
