Back to School (not) Basics
Monday officially is my last “first day of school”. It’s bittersweet, but I’m taking it as a final opportunity to use my campus as a runway (if I can manage to wake up more than 10 minutes before class).
I summed up a few basics to make your cozy class outfits stand out from every other Lulu wearing, hydro flask holding college girl.

Just throw it in the bag!
So I used to be a bag > backpack girl, but this Commuter Bag from A New Day at Target is EVERYTHING and has the functionality to be both. You can zip it to have one strap, or two straps, hold it from the handle... the versatility is crazy. The inside is super roomy and even has a sleeve for your lap top. Comes in so many colors too!
Headband galore
Wake up late? Been there.
Greasy hair? Been there.
Just lazy? Bet.
Headbands and silk scarves are the solution to all of the above. It’s a cute accessory that can add a pop of color or sophistication to a basic fit! The headband trend has always been one of my faves as it channels my inner Blair Waldorf xo.
Slip-On sophistication
Loafers are the slip-on Vans for women who want to get things done. Up your shoe game and conquer the world. My love for this style really developed from having to constantly dress up for work, school events, and other “business casual” requirements, but pairing them with some ripped jeans and a casual top can make you look put together with minimal effort.
