Man has it been a year already! At the beginning of the year I was hoping to say it was our best year yet and so far all I can say is that I’ll report back at the end of it. For me this year has been more about learning and less about doing things, which in some ways is good. I do hope you all are learning and growing during this unprecedented time or at least thriving in the best way you know how! I wanted to write this post to tell you all why I decided to start a blog! There are two main reasons, the first reason being, and probably like most, is that I needed an outlet, something to do to break up the day. The second reason is that it would be a way for me to share what I have learned (yes, I still do have a lot more to learn), but as I’ve grown over the past several years, particularly over the last two, I’ve learned one very important thing, whatever you decide to do in life, make sure it makes you happy. I want to be happy and I want to be my best self for my daughter and her dad. I want to encourage others to do the same and without a doubt I want my daughter to know that she should always do what makes her happy. I want my daughter to see a strong and courageous woman that doesn’t allow fear, worry, or uncertainty to stop her from doing something that may bring her joy. Life isn’t always easy, but when we approach it with a lot of grit and little bit of grace we can find more joy then we imagined and thrive in even some of the more difficult times. I know the answer to “how are you?” varies based on who you ask or what’s occurring in their life, but I suppose a better question (or two 😝) would be, what are you doing now that brings you joy and if you’re not, is there something you can do now to get you there?
That’s it for now! Thanks for reading, talk soon 🙂
