My name is Kate and I am about to be a Computer Science graduate. I am still in my first year of being a business owner, but I am anxious to see how far I can take it.

For the longest time I was unsure of the plans for my future. Out of high school I wanted to be either a mechanical or electrical engineer. A few failed classes and an engagement later, I was ready to drop out of college and become a house wife. My engagement failed and I then decided to change my college major to computer science. I did this all while waiting tables and bartending to support my college tuition and expensive tastes. And here I am today with my own business, still in school with a full time job in the computer science industry.

I signed up to be a Market Partner for Monat, for many reasons. The biggest being the freedom that comes with owning your own business. Your work ethic and perseverance determines how much your business grows. I always loved waiting tables, because minus problems out of your control, I was the determining factor for how much I was taking home at the end of a shift.

The best thing about becoming a Market Partner is the network of incredible and empowering women I am able to learn and grow from. They have inspired me to push myself out of my comfort zone and truly make life my own.
